Cinema-goers took to social media after the film was released on Friday with many claiming it to be the best Punjabi film they had ever watched and a must-see film for not just the Asian communities in the UK but the wider market too.
Sajjan Singh Rangroot starring Diljit Dosanjh in the lead role, released nationwide on 23rd March and is inspired by the true story of the Lahore Regiment of the British Indian Army. It follows the regiment and the challenges faced through the eyes of soldier Sajjan Singh Rangroot and his brigade of Sikh soldiers.
The film also stars newcomer Sunanda Sharma alongside Yograj Singh, Jagjeet Sandhu, Dheeraj Kumar and Jarnail Singh in key roles alongside the British contingent of actors including Darren Tassell, Peter Irving, Alex Reece and Caroline Wilde.
Sajjan Singh Rangroot is directed by leading Punjabi film director, Pankaj Batra and produced by Jay Sahani and Bobby Bajaj of Vivid Art House with music by Jatinder Shah.
Sajjan Singh Rangroot is distributed Worldwide by Omjee Group and Grand Showbiz Entertainment.
The film released nationwide on March 23rd 2018.
