Rubayyat Jahan the new British-Bengali female vocalist brings her debut single ‘Mere Pardesi Babu’ The single has been produced by the Rishi Rich and is out now via Moviebox Records. You may notice Rubayyat Jahan as she was one of the finalist who took park in Brit Asia Superstar back in 2010.

Dear Rubayyat,
I hope you know that your debut single is a copy of the song ‘mere pardesi babu’ from the 1969 Urdu film, Fasana-E-Dil.
I ask why you make no reference to this song when having made your copy, it seems very false and unfair to me that you are releasing it as your own work and unfortunately I think the orginal was sung a lot better than you sung your copy as there was no autotuning or voice manipulation there.
I will be spreading the message as far as I can and have sent this to Rishi Rich as well.
Also, it is extremely dissapointing that my 3 comments left on the official video on youtube on 23 March 2013 were deleted, which suggests guilt on behalf of Rubayyat Jahan, Rishi Rich and MovieBoxRecordLabel.
