Juggy D takes time out to talk with Bhangra Releases

Juggy D takes time out in India to speak with us exclusively on BhangraReleases.Com about his journey, thought’s on H-Dhami, Jay Sean leaving Cash Money records and what’s it like being a father plus much more!

Thanks for taking the time Juggy D to feature on the site. So let’s get down straight to business with the interview.

1.So for anyone that still does not know what’s does Juggy D stand for?

Mr Jagwinder Singh Dhaliwal

2.Dance with you with Jay Sean & Rishi Rich back in 2004 was a great success for you all. Do you feel this track made your name or was it Nahin Jeena?

Initially it was Nahin Jeena it was my first release with Rishi and the track spent 6 weeks at number 1 in the charts. “Dance With You” took it to another level and much wider audience as it went number 12 in the National Charts. We got to perform on Top of The Pops, CD UK, MTV and other mainstream channels.

3.It’s been a while since we have had a release by you why is this?

That’s right the last release was in December 2013 a track called “Love Yoou   Soniye” for the film “Love Yoou Soniye” after that I was touring in India for a while before the birth of my second daughter in Feb 2014. Building a family was more important than building on my music at the time. Now I am a proud father to 2 beautiful daughters and its time to focus on the music again to help build their     future.

4.What is your most favorite track you have released and why?

That’s like asking me which is my favorite daughter lol. So the answer as you can imagine is they all are because songs to me are like my kids.

5.What have you been up to for the last 12 months?

The last 12 months have been hectic enjoying the birth of my daughter Vanaya, recording lots of new music and touring in South East Asia and India.

6.We understand you’re married and with kids how does it feel to be a father?

It’s the best feeling in the world being a father and husband and having a stable family life where nothing maters in the outside world.

7.Whats your current thought on the Bhangra Market? We believe here on Bhangrareleases.com there is no quality control however we bring this policy in on our site!

We all know there’s a lot of rubbish that gets put out there. Why, I can’t be bothered going into that but its good to know that you bring the policy in on your       site. Good one.

8.There was a lot of talk before that when H Dhami came onto the market he tried to be yourself, what’s your feeling on this and relationship with him?

He’s like a younger brother to me and was a fan of the Rishi Rich Project so seeing someone with a little of your own style in him is a compliment and he’s doing well.

juggy & dhami

9.Who’s your favorite H-Dhami or Jaz Dhami?? ( you have to pick)

I get on with them both and don’t want to start no beef LOL

10.We understand it’s almost been ten years hook up with yourself, Jay Sean & Rishi rich. Will we ever see a release from you three again?

Yes for sure, the last time the 3 of us were in London together we started working  on a couple of tracks. So hopefully you’ll hear them soon.

11.Whats your thoughts on Jay Sean leaving Cash money records? Would that not be peoples dream to work such a massive mainstream label!!!

Obviously and he had lived that dream of working with them, now its time for him to do things his own way.

12.Why did you decide to leave your home routes southall and move up north

I got married and we both wanted to start a family and didn’t want to bring them up in southall as its just not the town it used to be when I was growing up. It’s nice to make a fresh start.

13.A lot of artists now appear to be releasing everything themselves as they don’t require labels they say as everything is online and digital. Would this be the case for you or are you signed up?

I worked with Movie box & Sony Music India to release my last album Punjabi  Rockstar they are both still there and I can go to them if need be, but the deal has   got to be right.  I may decide to release my next project myself I’m still considering my options.

14.If there was one Asian music producer you wanted to work with who would it be?

Rishi Rich again and we are working on a New EP which will be coming soon.

15 A lot of artist do music as a part time job, are you the same or can you honestly say your making a living out of it full time?

I fortunately was able to give up my day job in 2004 and have been making a  living out music since.

15.What do you do in your spare time?

I spend quality time with my kids and the things they enjoy doing as well as a lot of house chores like cooking and cleaning and going to the gym to keep fit and healthy.

16. There is hardly any Bhangra events taking place in London and you may get a few up north why is this? Is the gig market dead now?

They do still take place here and there but yes its not like it was 10 years ago when there were gigs happening up and down the country almost every other night.

17.What’s in the pipeline for you that you can share with your fans?

I’m releasing a New Urban Desi Single called “INDIAN TWERK” with Scottie B  a 4x award wining DJ/Producer and features Bushkin from Heartless Crew. I’ve    also just done a track called “Champagne Train” with DJ Shadow from Dubai both of which are OUT SOON! and a lot of other projects in the pipeline.

18.Is there anything you would like to say to all our readers worldwide here on BhangraReleases.com
