“Kanak Di Raaki” by Cloud 9 Music and Banger is a 2016 re-fix of the classic Punjabi folk song from the film Do Lachhian (1960) that focuses on the famous farming culture of the land of five rivers, and the light-hearted battle that ensues between a Punjabi Mutiyaar and Gabhru.
This is Banger’s first release with VIP Records and it showcases the tongue-in-cheek humour that he is widely recognised for from his smash hit single Patandra – his performance throughout this track oozes Punjabi charm. Banger and Preet’s connection on this track is formidable though humour and innuendo and “Kanak Di Raaki” is sure to create some battles on the dancefloor! Amit and Deepak from Cloud 9 Music have gone back to grassroots on this project and have made sure that the track exhibits a strong dancefloor feel and one that will get you up off your seats and throwing your arms in the air!
The beat and percussion section on “Kanak Di Raaki” is powerful and varied, working perfectly with the composition and keeping interest right through until the end.
