#Bhangrabeef kicks off on twitter between artist!!!
Okay, before we kick start with this topic lets give you a little insight as to what this ‘Bhangra Beef’ is all about. We all love our social networking sites, but do you always keep up to date? Incase you don’t, here’s what happened over the weekend on one of the most powerful networks of all… Twitter:
So there you go, that’s how the story goes!
[youtube id=”yT6uxCDmYUI” width=”620″ height=”360″]To cut a long story short, it seems people in today’s day and age still can’t seem to allow each other to have their individual opinion. We all have a right to express our feelings, however the way in which we do it can sometimes set off sparks in a ‘not so good way’.
In this instance, we can see one half of the most popular music producers within the industry Tigerstyle, tweet his thoughts on the latest release by artist: Onkar Sumal known before as Lightning MC called ‘Pichlee Gali’. According to Raj (tigerstyle), it’s a pretty weak track and something that doesn’t really appeal to him [stating the obvious!.. ].
Want to see Onkar’s response to the tweet? Here you go:
But the ‘beef’ didn’t end there, it continued for lets say.. hmmm, DAYS! The tweets got more and more intense and not only that, but of course, more and more people got involved such as J Skillz (who is well known to diss artist) & Tru Skool plus many more.
Although if I do say so myself, when events like this take place via social networking sites, it definitely drags the publics attention towards it and it becomes their entertainment for the day! So how do we know this wasn’t just a stunt and their aim was to just gain more followers? Hmm… you never know!!!
Here’s a couple of tweets that got published if you’re interested!
The above tweets are just a few of MANY! But to give you the list of what it was all about, hopefully that summed it up for you!
It’s a shame how you would think in time, people’s perspective and perceptions would change. But the Bhangra industry never fails to amuse me in many ways. Mainly, in the sense that we struggle to respect and support one another. In fact we see everything as more of a competition and we constantly envy what others are doing. I think the main moral we should all take away from this is learning to actually be proud of each other whether or not it’s your cup of tea. We should learn to help our people out and if their not so good, then maybe advise them or push them to do better? You see when the mind is negative the words become bitter and that then leads to ‘beef’ – which am sure we can all do without!
What we came to find however, is both Raj (Tigerstyle) and Onkar supposedly spoke to one another via phone a couple of days later in a calm state of mind and settled the matter once and for all. Maybe that should have been their first port of call? But hey, nonetheless at least we know it wasn’t a public stunt, it was actually somebody’s opinion taken way out of proportion!
Lets learn to UNITE guys! After all, it’s a dog eat dog world!

Why should they unite and support each other? They are rivals and they are allowed to have their own opinions.
If you put yourself in the public eye, you have to expect/ accept criticism.
