“Teri Akh” is the brand debut single by Ajit Singh, a dancefloor duet featuring the vocal talents of Sona Walia. The song has an uplifting bhangra groove as well as well conceived desi lyrical content.
The lead singer Ajit Singh hails from Sahnewal, Punjab in India and where he was taught by Ustad Bhai Sharanjit Singh and Inder Pawar. He started his musical journey in 2013 whilst studying in London for a Masters Degree in Business. Being a big fan of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and gaining his inspiration from listening to classical and folk Punjabi music, Ajit’s style reflects that of a true desi vocalist. Add into the mix an already established Sona Walia and you have a recipe for a floor filler.
The lyrics are written by up and coming new writer Danni Cheema, who is due to release her own material in the near future and the music is produced by V dubl E of Dubl Up Productions who is producing and writing for the likes of Balwinder Safri, Juggy D and Ash King.
The video is directed by Del Sondh of Rock Solid who has made his own distinctive mark primarily through his work with numerous artists within the Asian music industry.
