The highly anticipated first single from Manni Sandhu’s sophomore album ‘Welcome To The Future’, ‘Gani’ with Akhil set to release on 3rd June 2016. Almost precisely a year on from last year’s ‘Makhaul’ (also featuring Akhil), Manni Sandhu is all set to return with the summertime anthem entitled ‘Gani’. Manni’s urban influenced sound means Gani is a song that can be listened to by all – Punjabi and Urban Asian music lovers alike. Notwithstanding, Akhil’s melodic and soothing vocals infused with Manni’s signature dreamy musical backdrop, ‘Gani’ promises to have waves running through the industry this June.
The music video for ‘Gani’ is all set to be directed by one of Punjab’s most sought after video directors Parmish Verma, and will be releasing shortly after the 3rd June in collaboration with India’s leading Punjabi label Speed Records. The duos previous single ‘Makhaul’ released in June 2015, debuting at number 3 on the BBC Asian Network Chart and has since gone on to attain over 3 million YouTube views. The highly successful release was also recently nominated for best music video at the BritAsia TV Music Awards 2015.
Since the release of Makhaul, Akhil has achieved phenomenal success this year with a recently released single entitled ‘Khaab’. ‘Khaab’ has been one of the biggest Punjabi songs of the year thus far, attaining an astonishing 15 million YouTube views in just 3.5 months – making it one of the most viewed Punjabi songs of this year.
Since last years release Manni Sandhu has been working with some extremely talented newcomers; Akhil being one of these. Manni Sandhu is set to launch his highly anticipated second album ‘Welcome To The Future’ on 10th June, featuring the single ‘Gani’ in addition to 7 brand new songs featuring an array of talented singers. The album has been in the making for 3 years and is highly anticipated and slated to be one of the biggest albums of 2016.
