San Francisco, CA – After a long period of silence, the California based Bhangra music Producer RAV-E is releasing 2 singles on April 14th titled “Kalli” and “Do Tarra”. Both singles will be released by the US based record label Against All Odds.
Following the worldwide success of “Kundian Mucha” amongst the Bhangra Competition circuit, RAV-E has teamed up with Pappi Gill once again on “Kalli”. Pappi Gills folk vocals and RAV-E’s new sound has provided for a unique track that has a urban hip-hop and Punjabi folk feel. Laced with RAV-E’s iconic synths and heavy dhol beat, “Kalli is just a preview of RAV-E’s evolution as a music producer.
The 2nd single titled “Do Tarra” features the vocals of Aalam Jasdeep Singh, a versatile folk vocalist from Punjab. On this track, the duo took inspiration from Amar Singh Shonki and Manmohan Waris and created a new rendition of this classic song. By creating “Do Tarra”, RAV-E is showcasing his new sound and hopes to keep Punjabi culture alive in the current landscape of the Punjabi music industry.
